Why Buy Organic CBD Products from Rx Sports?

We believe cannabinoids (like CBD) to be medicine. And there is a significant amount of medicinal science to be understood and applied in product development. Our Chief Science Officer and formulator of all products is a board-certified toxicologist and pharmacologist with over a decade of experience in plant-based medicine. Our formulations are exceptionally effective because CBD is only one of our many active ingredients. Understanding How CBD Can Help Athletic Pain and Inflammation

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the 100+ cannabinoids naturally produced by both the hemp and marijuana plant. CBD is highly therapeutic, non-addictive, and non-intoxicating. Cannabinoids act on receptors found throughout the body, allowing for its therapeutic benefits.

Yes. In 2018 both the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) removed CBD from the list of prohibited substances – in or out of competition – and provided a “Marijuana FAQ” page to clarify these rules. NOTE: only CBD was removed from the prohibited list, not THC (the psychoactive component of marijuana).

At the same time, the WADA set a urinary threshold for THC of 150ng/ml which is ten-times higher than the previous limit (15ng/ml). Obviously, the higher limits are intended to lower the risk of an athlete testing positive due to casual THC use outside of competition. A spokesperson for WADA said, “Our information suggests that many cases do not involve game or event-day consumption. The new threshold level is an attempt to ensure that in-competition use is detected and not use during the days and weeks before competition.”

Many CBD companies offer “full spectrum” CBD sports products. This means there can be up to 0.3% THC in their products and still be legal. While highly unlikely that this is enough to create a positive THC test, there’s always some risk. Which is why, to be absolutely, positively 100% certain that no athlete, amateur to professional, will EVER fail a drug test, Rx Sports does NOT use “full-spectrum” CBD in our products. We use only CBD “isolate” (100% pure CBD) that contains zero percent (0%) THC. It is impossible to fail a drug test from using Rx Sports products.

All Rx Sports products are pharmaceutically designed and manufactured for a dual purpose; 1) use before/after competition, and 2) empiric therapy. Use your tincture (under the tongue) or topical (apply to the skin of affected area) both before and immediately after your competition. Between events, use the product daily to reduce inflammation and injury (empiric therapy).

Establishing Your CBD Dosage

Establishing Your CBD Dosage We always recommend you "start low, and go slow" as you establish your dose. CBD is biphasic, meaning it can be energizing or sedating, depending on the amount consumed. In smaller doses, CBD can be elating and mood enhancing. In larger doses, it can induce drowsiness. What is considered a [...]
